We’re Bringing It Back
More guests wished to attend than the hall could seat. So the concert returns – by popular demand.
On 14 October at 19:30, SAVOY once again presents Sade Tribute – a concert dedicated to the music of Sade and the iconic Sade Adu, whose voice, restrained sensuality and unerring sense of style shaped one of the most recognisable aesthetics in modern music.
Timeless
Music
When Diamond Life came out in 1984, Sade offered the public an entirely different kind of star. Against the vivid pop culture of the decade, there was no showiness at all: Sade Adu’s calm voice, jazz harmonies, soul, a soft saxophone and an almost cinematic restraint.
This musical language proved timeless. Smooth Operator, The Sweetest Taboo, No Ordinary Love and By Your Side outlived their era and sound just as modern today, while Sade’s influence can be heard in the R&B, neo-soul and alternative pop of the generations that followed. Sade Adu became a style icon, proving that true allure has no need to be loud.

Elina Pan
- Finalist, Season 10 of The Voice Russia
- All Together Now (Russia)
Tonight, the music of Sade will be sung by Elina Pan. A finalist in the tenth, anniversary season of The Voice Russia on Channel One, she made a journey followed by millions of viewers, and on All Together Now she won over the jury and the audience with the depth of her delivery and her artistry.
Elina’s distinctive timbre and stage charisma are exactly what Sade Adu’s repertoire demands: it cannot be carried by volume, only by intonation, taste and a mastery of the pause.
